2. Zephyrhills - 77 miles, 1 hour, 16 minutes
For beginners, Skydive City offers tandem jumps—you jump from a plane while connected to an experienced jumper. Plan to spend a few hours at the facility to complete training, preparation, the aircraft ride and the tandem jump. A freefall videographer jumps with you to record your jump. After the jump, you will be presented with a six- to eight-minute video to commemorate the adventure. Zephyrhills is also known for its pure spring water, which is good enough to bottle.

America's 54th largest city, Tampa has many attractions and cultural offerings. High on the list is the American Victory Mariners Memorial and Museum Ship, a World War II-era merchant ship that takes visitors on regular cruises. Named the Best Beach Town in Florida, Clearwater sits on the west coast and is home to America's most famous dolphin, Winter, who starred in Dolphin Tale.
