It is unique in that the cars used to race have engines that are powerful enough to exceed 200 mph while the overall high weight makes for poor handling. It takes a truly skilled driver to race in the Sprint Cup, making it the “big league” of racing. The Sprint Cup has deep roots in the Southeastern United States, where more than half of the races are held, including the most prestigious of Sprint Cup races, the Daytona 500.
