Bayley's camping Resort-Maine's Finest by the Ocean

What Kathleen and Fred Bayley started as a small family oriented campground with a mere 43 sites and 4 employees in July of 1970, Bayley’s has grown into one of Maine’s premier camping resorts with over 750 sites with an in-season staff of over 85 employees. At a time when many of the large successful family run campgrounds across the country have sold out to large corporations, Bayley’s has remained family owned and operated since its inception.

Today, Fred and Kathleen have turned over the day-to-day management and operation of the campground to their son Tom and his wife Jamie. In true family tradition, Tom and Jamie’s son Gaelan has joined as the 3rd generation of Bayleys to work at the campground as operations and technology manager.

Bayley’s Camping Resort is situated on 250 acres of southern Maine’s scenic coastal countryside. The resort is located just half a mile from 7 miles of pristine sandy beach. They offer 2 complimentary beach trolleys that run daily in-season on the hour to Pine Point Beach and to Old Orchard Beach with its historic pier and revitalized downtown district.

Once you arrived, you’ll find there’s plenty to do. They have a Woodall’s rated 5 Star activities program with many of the activities taking place at Bayley’s Cove Recreation and Rental Center where you can also rent one of their extensive fleet of pedal carts. Here you’ll also find one of the 3 on-site swimming pools. The Park also offers park wide wireless Internet hotspots, an 18-hole Mini-Golf course. If that’s not enough, you can spend some time in Ashley’s game room located next to Seaside Square Café.

The Seaside Square Complex features 2 of our 3 heated pools, 4 hot tubs, and Seaside Square Cafe, our poolside restaurant. New this past year is the Hydration Hut located in the 500-seat entertainment pavilion where they offer movie nights, plus professional evening entertainment. The Hut offers alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks each afternoon and evening during the summer months. If you decide to take a break from the beach, you can spend the day at Seaside Square sitting in the sun, watching the kids play in the pools, and enjoy breakfast, lunch, or dinner poolside.

Arial View of Bayley If you enjoy kayaking, can rent a kayak and paddle up the Little River Estuary and experience the serenity of the Scarborough Marsh Wildlife Refuge from their own launch site at Bayley’s! They also have three stocked fishing ponds on-site for those who love to fish. During our summer season, you can enter one of their two weekly fishing derbies.

On-site, they offer fully equipped trailers up to 35 feet. For all the comforts of home you can rent one of their popular Park Cabins with full size kitchen appliances, full bathroom, 2 bedrooms, fireplace and screened porch.

Set your GPS to 275 Pine Point Road in Scarborough, Maine. You won’t be disappointed.
