Bruce Peninsula National Park is open year round and has four distinct seasons. Summer tends to be mild and cool, especially when you’re closer to the coast. Spring, fall and winter tend to be unpredictable. Heavy snow can fall during winter, and parts of the park are not very accessible during the winter months. The diversity of the land also adds to the diversity of the weather. Forests, lakes, rugged coastlines, wetlands and beaches make this a wonderfully beautiful park ripe for exploration!

Once you reach the park, there is plenty to do! Hiking, canoeing or kayaking, swimming, fishing and camping are some of the best summer activities. A wide range of animals call the park home, including bears, chipmunks, porcupine, deer, foxes, long-eared bats, owls, hawks, hermit thrushes and much more. The diversity of wildlife makes Bruce Peninsula National Park a great place for viewing animals and the largely untouched forest allows for you to see them in their most natural habitat. With so many hiking trails, you have a wonderful opportunity to walk along rocky beaches, through deep green forests, next to beautiful lakes, through gorgeous wetlands and flower filled meadows. With so much to see and do, Bruce Peninsula National Park is a great Ontario camping destination!
