in lovely Destin, you’ll be staying on top of it (well, almost)!
Before we get to the charms of the
CAMP GULF RV Park
in Destin (and there are many) let’s take a look at all the things to do in Destin itself. Destin is a cool harbor town, with both old and new aspects to it. The older section of Destin, down by the harbor, boasts the Destin Harborwalk Village (yes, the town is on the water) and it’s virtually lined with all kinds of shops, vendors, activities, rentals, tours and restaurants. Bring your camera because you’ll be looking at the gorgeous Holiday Isle to the Gulf of Mexico. Be sure to spend some time in this old, historic section of Destin, as the harbor really is what Destin was originally all about. Don’t you love harbors: the boats, smells, sounds (ok, sea gulls screech, but still…), and the atmosphere you only find by water? And the action in newer Destin is worth checking out, as well; great night life, entertainment, movies and dining.
Cruising around Destin, you’ll see tons of water sports fun rental shop for wave runners, pontoon and other boats, and every other toy under the sun. And when you’re done with all that, there’s shark fishing (yikes!), parasailing, fishing (non-shark, as well), fine dining, and even some places with dinner and dance combinations for the fancy-footed. Destin offers an unbelievable array of attractions and activities like glass bottom boat and other tours, scooter and kayak rentals, and…well, you get the idea. You just can’t beat it. This area of Florida is wonderful, and not nearly as crowed as some. This definitely has its charms.
But, someone’s bound to get tired and you’ll enjoy your RV home at
