October's Must-Stay Parks:
Cranes, Herons and Egrets, Oh My!

Most of Perdido Key (over 60 per cent) is designated as a federal or state park, so how pretty do you think it might be? It’s a major wilderness area on the Florida Panhandle, located halfway between Pensacola and Orange Beach, Alabama. You’ll just a short bridge trip to Florida’s mainland, from Perdido Key (Spanish for “lost key”).

Pensacola is about 15 miles from Perdido Cove Resort, and features the Naval Aviation Air Museum, the Naval Air Station, the Pensacola Pier, and an endless array of cool restaurants, theaters, and live entertainment. The proximity to Pensacola makes for incredibly easy day trips from Perdido Cove Resort.
