December's Must-Stay Parks:
Go to Yuma, Arizona! It’s Serious Fishing Country, Southwest Style!

You’ll be close to all of it if you stay Sun Vista RV Resort. As great as things are at Sun Vista RV Resort itself (and they’re pretty great), make yourself leave now and then, and head on to Yuma, because…Yuma is fishing country! Yep, there’s tons of fishing in several area lakes. You have to remember that it’s here the great Colorado River drops its treasures (including its fish) for your pleasure. Yuma is also home to gazillions of man-made ponds, including some well known ones like Redondo Pond, Fortuna Pond, and Quigley and Growler Ponds. And, if you’re 13 or younger, you don’t even need a fishing license. These ponds offer terrific environment for fish, and their captors, as in you. Fishing. Arizona. It’s the perfect combination, don’t you think?

Oh, and the Colorado River also offers jet boat rentals, boat and birding tours (over in 380 species in this area), and tours of native petroglyphs and historic mining towns. You can also hit Yuma’s casinos, or visit its historic state parks, golf courses, museums, beautiful gardens, wildlife refuges, and game and entertainment centers. Yuma’s history museum displays incredibly beautiful tribal beadwork done by the Cocopah Indians, along with more authentic Cocopah arts and crafts. There are tons of art galleries in Yuma, well worth exploring. And if you tire of the arts, well, you know you can go fishing!

But, you’ll eventually head home to the delights of your own RV, and when you do, you’ll find all kinds of amenities at Sun Vista RV Resort. They have an on site Notary Public which can be a real plus! OK, maybe that’s a marginal thrill, but on-site massage therapy and a beauty salon are real treats for all. They also have card and music rooms, and lots of arts and crafts classes.

Sun Vista RV Resort offers regular on-site entertainment with dinner shows, off-site tours of Yuma with all that action (and casino visits), indoor and outdoor heated spas and pool, and updates such as driving cages, chipping and putting greens, lovely walking paths and a radio controlled car track. Oh…and a two story fitness center (can you say “Zumba?”).

Check out the Sun Vista RV Resort and all the Yuma action. You’ll be glad you did.
