I will only reply about the Medicine Hat area. The city has a very nice campground called Gas City Campground, over looks the South Saskatchewan River valley.full services. The Cottonwood Golf Club has a few very nice sites in the valley with a golf package .Also Elkwater Provincial Park is beautifull and only 45 minutes south east of Medicine Hat,but only 20 minutes south of highway #1.Medicine Hat is a very unique place, sits on top of a very substantial natural gas reserve owned by the city and the profits are used to keep taxes and utilities low.It has Diamondback rattle snakes, cactus, etc. and a very warm climate, tons of sun.

Elkwater is the resort in the Alberta side of the Cypress Interprovincial Park.Eh what did you say your name was again.

Between Moose Jaw & Medicine Hat, is Cypress Hills Interprovincial Park. You can get in from the TransCanada highway from both the Saskatchewan & Alberta side. I prefer the Saskatchewan side of the park.

Also, I suggest you consider camping in the Kananaskis Park. This is between Calgary & Banff. Much more out door-se that Banff which is extremely commercial.

If you are stopping in Moose Jaw, check out the Temple Gardens Spa downtown. Just as you are driving around Moose Jaw on the #1 highway, there is a nice little campground called Prairie Oasis. Easy to find and get to.

Enjoy your travels..
